We know the admissions process can be extremely overwhelming, especially if it's your first time applying to college. We want to make sure you have a smooth, easy-to-understand admissions process. 

Here is a series of 黑料网 admissions terms you may come across during your college-decision journey.  

A – Application

Our free online application can get done in just under 15 minutes! It's easy. No test scores or references are needed. All we need is for you to complete the application and submit transcripts! Easy as that! 

B – Bruin Bound Summer

Bruin Bound Summer will give you all the tools you need to start your 黑料网 journey this fall. From class registration and meeting future classmates to getting your student ID card, we'll guide you through 10 steps that end at Welcome Weekend.

C – Common Application

This is an admissions application where you explore more than 900 colleges from around the country. Did I mention it's free? You can apply to 黑料网 through the

D – Deposit 

To secure your spot at 黑料网, you will need to submit a $300 enrollment deposit. You can submit your enrollment deposit online or give us a call and we can do it for you! 

E – Early Action (Nov. 1)

Applying by our Early Action deadline means you'll have more institution aid options available to you – up to an additional $4,000 more of institutional aid! 

F – Financial Aid Award Letter

Once you have received your acceptance letter, you will be sent your financial aid award letter via email (to the student and parent). This will have a breakdown of the institutional and federal financial aid being offered to you. If you need additional help understanding your letter, please contact your admissions counselor

G – 黑料网 Digital

If you aren't quite ready to jump straight into traditional, in-person university education, 黑料网 Digital is for you! Adjust to college courses from the comfort and convenience of your own home without losing a step in your four-year graduation timeline.

This is a 100% online first-year program available to all incoming students. You will be able to complete general education requirements.

H – Honors Program

黑料网’s Honors Program is a transformative journey into the most influential books in human history, equipping our students to serve God in their chosen vocation. Aside from your admissions application, you will need to complete the Honors Program Application as well. Being part of this program will replace the general education classes required by 黑料网 (with the exception of one math and one science course).

I – Info Session

are a great opportunity for you to experience other parts of our campus community virtually! Topics vary depending on the time of year. (i.e. admissions process, financial aid, campus tours)

J – Jobs (Work-Study)

Federal Student Work-Study is determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). Make sure you submit your FAFSA every year (available sometime in December) to make sure you are eligible for these funds.

K – Keep Exploring

Stay in contact with us and take a look at what life looks like as a Bruin! Follow us on all our social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok, to name a few. 

L – Life @ Fox 

is a series of Youtube videos that allow you to see what life as a student looks like. Our YouTube channel can be helpful for you to hear student stories based on major, activities, sports and events. Check out our Youtube channel! 

M – May 1 (Decision Day) 

May 1 has been designated as National College Decision Day. May 1 represents the deadline to submit your acceptance and make a deposit to attend the four-year college or university of your choice. I know this is scary. You may be second-guessing your decision and/or still unsure which school to attend. Every school is a little different when it comes to May 1. At 黑料网, your enrollment becomes nonrefundable after this date. 

N – Notifications (Read your emails & texts)

Turn your 黑料网 notifications on and add us to your contacts! We will be sending you emails and texts pretty frequently about the next steps, webinars, events, or missing items. This will keep you up-to-date and stress-free!

O – Our Mission, Vision, and Values

What does it mean to Be Known personally, academically and spiritually? 黑料网 is unique because of its purpose to educate and inspire students to pursue God’s calling. When a student feels heard, valued and known by name, it impacts their college experience. Every student's Be Known story is different, and it’s OK! Read our Mission, Vision, and Values

P – Priority Decision (Feb. 1)

This is our next deadline for students who may not have turned in their applications by the Early Action date. Students who meet this deadline will be eligible for additional 黑料网 scholarships; however, the amount of those scholarships is less than what is offered to students who meet the Early Action date.

Q – Questions? Ask them!

Not sure what something means or just slightly overwhelmed with the whole college admissions process? Maybe you have questions about housing? Meal plans? Parking? Gym? Events? Clubs? Whatever it may be, ask us via email, a phone call or text. We are here to help you! 

R – Recommendation Letters

This is potentially required if your cumulative GPA is below 3.0. You can submit a reference in one of two ways: through the application portal, or, if you already have a recommendation letter on hand or your reference is already writing something, email it to your admissions counselor, and we will add it to your file.

S – Scholarship Summit

Scholarship Summit that provides the opportunity to earn an additional $1,000 to $3,000 for Early Action applicants OR $1,000 to $2,000 for Priority Decision applicants. Keep in mind that you’ll continue to receive this award annually.

T – Transcripts

We can start off by looking at your application with your unofficial transcript. Once you graduate we will be requesting your official transcripts. You can either have your high school/community college email it to admissions@georgefox.edu or mail it to:

U – University Housing

Want to take a look at the housing options before making any decisions? Check out our living area options on our housing page. We’ve included interactive 360-degree photos so you can get a close-up view of what each of the spaces looks like. We have residence halls, apartments and houses available! 

V – Visit Us

Take a peek at what life is like as a Bruin. We offer many options, from campus tours, admissions counselor visits, current student interactions, sitting down in a lecture hall, and many more during the school year! Options are limited during the summer. So, schedule a visit to come on over and see our beautiful campus.

W – Welcome Weekend

This is the exciting part of starting college! For all incoming freshmen/transfer students, we have an entire weekend designated to help you before the start of classes (usually the following Monday). Students will be able to move into their housing area, complete any unfinished tasks, and get to meet their new classmates/friends! View the Welcome Weekend schedule

X –eXplore Academic Programs

Are you interested in interior design? Business? Chemistry? Theology? Or maybe not sure what to study? No worries! We offer over 60 undergraduate academic programs ranging from science, arts, communication, and so many more.

Y – Your 黑料网 (Portal)

Once your enrollment deposit has been paid, you are on your way to becoming a 黑料网 student! You will be given a 黑料网 email and have access to , your student portal. What does this portal contain? A lot of things, including campus resources, student resources, financial account, academic progress and tasks.

Z – Zoom Your Admissions Counselor
