Admission Requirements
For students seeking admission to the Master of Arts in Special Education program, requirements are as follows:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
- A minimum 3.0 grade point average for the most recent 60 semester (90 quarter) hours completed. An explanation must accompany your admission materials if your GPA is below the 3.0 mark.

How to Apply

Apply Online
Create an account with a username and password and complete the Master of Arts in Special Education application online. It's free to apply. The online application includes the following:
- Reference forms
- Resumé
- Short essay
Note: Applications can be saved to be completed at a later time. Log in early to send reference forms and view the essay prompt.

Submit Required TSPC Forms
Submit completed and signed forms to admissions@georgefox.edu.

Submit Teaching License Copy
Submit a copy of your current teaching or administrative license (both if applicable) to admissions@georgefox.edu. pplicants desiring the Master of Arts in Special Education degree who do not have a teaching license should submit a letter of explanation as to how the degree fits with their professional goals.

Request Official Electronic Transcripts
Request an official transcript from every regionally accredited college or university where you completed even a single course. Electronic transcripts are preferred for speed and accuracy. They must be sent directly from the institution to admissions@georgefox.edu. If an electronic option is not available, unopened official transcripts can be sent via mail to:

Once Your Application is Complete
- Interview/Assessment The admissions committee will review your application file once all materials are submitted. Applicants meeting initial program criteria will be invited to an interview/assessment.
- Enrollment Deposit Upon admission you are required to submit a $200 enrollment deposit by the date provided to you in your admit letter.
