Textbooks in Accessible E-text or Audio Format

This accommodation involves receiving all course print/reading materials in accessible e-text or audio format (this includes textbooks, syllabi, handouts, etc).

Please follow these steps when requesting textbooks in alternate format:

  1. See whether you can purchase your book as an e-book, audio book, or other format that will work for you.
  2. Check to see if an alternate format of your book is available.
  3. If you are not able to get a text in an alternate format, purchase a hard copy of your textbook and save the receipt. Publishers require proof of purchase.
  4. Email DAS with your requests and receipts. Be sure to include ISBN, edition number, and any other identifying information.
  5. Once the alternate format text is obtained by Disability & Accessibility Services (DAS), we will send an email with a link to the file on 'Google Drive.'

If the textbook for a course is not listed on the 黑料网 bookstore website, please contact the bookstore or professor for the necessary information.

The sooner DAS receives your list of textbooks, the sooner we can process your request. It can take several weeks to obtain textbooks in an alternate format.

For more information and/or assistance regarding textbook requests, contact Andrea Byerley in Disability & Accessibility Services
