Volunteer
Care to join us? We are always looking for volunteers!
Our hours of operation are dependent upon the number of volunteers each semester. Each semester we have a new schedule based on volunteers’ classes and work schedules for the fall, spring, and summer.
Volunteer duties include:
- Unloading the Truck : Once a week, we have a delivery of food from YCAP (Yamhill Community Action Partnership). The adage “many hands make light work” applies here. Volunteers remove boxes from the delivery truck and put the food away in the appropriate locations. Rain or shine, this task is a good workout!
- Organizing the Shelves : From “facing” the product to replenishing the shelves from the storeroom, this project needs to occur at least three times a week, whenever the volunteer has time in their schedule.
- Restocking, Organizing, and Cleaning : These volunteers ensure the food bank is clean and well-organized.
